Snow was supposed to grace our streets today but the weather has been playing tricks on us.   I was impressed by the cloud formations on my way home from work. I love how they made shade in part of the town and blue skies in the other half.  Though there is no snow on the ground here the surrounding hills showing us it could definitely happen!

Today's photograph was taken at school. I was sitting in my math class when something caught my eye.....in case it is difficult to read the graffiti says:
"Fuck the next lesson
I'll pass the test guessin"
Perhaps it is the new motto for community college!

Winter quarter started for me today. Since I started college I have not had to receive this many books. I was amazed when I had to try to cram all of them in my backpack. As it is noticeable I am studying Greek and roman mythology, finite math and Spanish 121.

Note: My picture editing program is still useless at this point. Here is another raw photo.

January 1, 2013

Happy 2013 everyone! I was fairly sick for most of the first day of 2013 but I was still able to capture an important picture to me.

I love the traditions and artistry behind the sugar skull. They are beautiful. For Christmas my brother found an incredible incense burner for me (pictured) it has three skulls and the incense goes inside the structure and the smoke billows out from the nose and ear area of each skull. I love it, easily my most used Christmas gift already. This photo was chosen because a bit of smoke can be seen being released from the yellow skull.

The drawing is also from my brother. I asked him, in his wonderful artistic abilities to draw a sugar skull for me that I could get tattooed on my arm. When I went over to my parents house this evening this was given too me. I think it is pretty rad.

Note: My picture editing program is currently on the fritz. Thus, this is a raw picture.
